CNC Machined Desk
The workdesk was machined on IAD's custom gantry mill (Rollermill) out of a solid 4'x8' piece of 3/8" 6061 Al. It features a pattern of 1/4-20 tapped holes that evokes the look of an optical research table and which can be used for attaching additional accessories like lamps and drawers, as well as small work/research projects. The desk is constructed in two pieces for disassembly and transportation, and bolts together with structural steel tube and custom leg attachment mechanisms for maximum stability.
